Toby
Toby is around 10 years old and came into kennels rather overweight. We thought we might have a lot of trouble rehoming him but he went quite quickly to a lovely new home in Ullock which he shares with a German Shepherd and various other animals including hens.
His new owners have just written to us:
'When we first got Toby he weighed in at 35kg and was 90cms around his chest. He was recently weighed and is now 29kg and 79cms around his chest!
We are so pleased with him, he is a pleasure to have around. He loves playing ball and has even learned how to bring it back, though sometimes needs a little persuasion. Cassie (the German Shepherd) and Toby are getting on really well too and are like an old married couple the way they stick together. It is nice she has a pal now.'
Blue
Blue spent quite a few weeks in our Dunmail kennels and could be a bit of a handful at times. What a difference a good home makes!
His new owners describe him as a 'big softie'and he is loved not only by them but also his companions Henry, Nera and Murphy.
Blue lives in a lovely house with a large field in Dalston, near Carlisle. He loves to play chase in the field with Henry, go on long walks on the fells and do a spot of sunbathing in the garden.
